Lot: AR Smart Nitro - 2006 sorrel gelding

This two-year-old gelding is a full brother to the three-year-old mare, also in this silent auction, named AR Smart Explosion.  If “Clyde” proves to be like his siblings he’ll be not only a wonderful partner but a performance horse deluxe.  His sire and his maternal grandsire combined have produced offspring earning nearly $2.7 million.  This bloodline cross has proven to be a strong one over the years for Atwood Ranch. 

As a right brain extrovert Clyde is obviously athletic and sensitive with plenty of ambition.  Dave Ellis on a visit to the ranch observed him as a yearling playing on a steep hillside with some other colts, commented on his athleticism and how good this terrain is for our young horses.  This handsome sorrel has an unusual shape to his blaze and a medium going high spirit.

Kalley has said, “Clyde is a very sweet horse.  He was super scared of people when we first brought him in from the two-year-old pasture.  He has made some incredible changes through out his time at the Parelli Center.  He is super friendly and his confidence has grown leaps and bounds.  Clyde is more of a ‘go’ kind of horse.”
